TRAINING FOR CHURCHES ACROSS THE UK

.

Our desire is to serve the church by providing practical training for children’s workers.  Workshops are conducted by experienced children’s workers with Bible College training and can be arranged at venues around the country.  We currently have two courses we can offer in addition to our Puppet Workshops and help in running Bible Clubs.

Sharing Christ With Kids

This course is suitable for parents, grandparents, children’s workers, ministers, church volunteers, and anyone who wants to learn how to share the gospel Biblically and simply with children.  Consisting of four 1-hour sessions, it can be run over a couple of evenings or on a Saturday.
Please contact us if you would like us to run this course for you.

What people have said about this course:

  • . “It has prepared me for when my little ones start asking about Jesus.”

  • . “An excellent day with a great deal of content; very well presented.”

  • . “It has helped me to see that I don’t need to be afraid to speak to my children about God even if I don’t have all the answers.  We can grow in faith together as a family.”

In Step with the Master Teacher

This training course is designed to help you disciple the children in your church the way that Jesus   made disciples - by modelling God’s truth, building relationships and teaching for a response.

It is a more in-depth course, consisting of up to 22 modules, each ranging in length from 30-90 minutes.  We will customise workshops to meet the specific needs of your teachers within the time you have available.

What people have said about this course:

  • . “Good fun and very informative”

  • . “Excellent sessions; well prepared and presented. Much appreciated.”

  • . "You gave so many valuable ideas and great insight into how children think and act. I was challenged to be creative and imaginative.”

  • . "You’ve given me lots of ideas and enthused me again to think more about different ways to teach the children.”

  • . "Very clear training.”

How much do they cost?

We charge £10 per person for a day's workshop.   Our charges are flexible and group rates can be offered.

We are joining over fifty other organisations and ministries supporting the 2012 Hand-in-Hand conference, wanting to help train your team and resource your children's and family ministries.

Whether you have been involved in these areas of ministry for years or are just starting as a volunteer, then from 4pm on Friday 3rdFebruary to 3pm on Sunday 5th February you’ll find seminars, workshops, ministry showcases , exhibiting organisations and resources that are helpful to you. There will also be time to worship, pray and study the Bible together – sending you home resourced, refreshed and reinvigorated for your work with children and families.

The programme will include plenary and optional sessions that focus on how we can make the most of the opportunities that major sporting events provide for churches to engage with their community.  There will also be a stream of Messy Church sessions throughout the weekend  so, if you already run a Messy Church and want fresh ideas or if you are thinking about Messy Church as a possible new initiative for your church, you can choose those options. And, to encourage you to bring your junior leaders along, there is a half-price ticket for under 21s and some sessions aimed particularly at them.

For more information and to book your place at Hand-in-Hand 2012, visit www.familyministry.co.uk/conferences. We look forward to seeing you in Eastbourne next February.
